Following our 2016 signature event, the Huffington Post noted that “TEDxSydney is about providing hope for the human condition”. At a time when the concept of ‘hope’ is as pertinent and potent as ever, we rewind back to TEDxSydney 2016 to celebrate “the clever humans” that are guiding us towards a brighter future.

ABOUT TEDxSYDNEY 2016: TEDxSydney is the leading platform for the propagation of Australian ideas, creativity and innovation to the rest of the world. The 7th annual TEDxSydney event took place at Sydney Opera House on Wednesday 25 May 2016. Featuring brand new talks from a fascinating range of speakers, unique live performances and a special film program, TEDxSydney and TEDxYouth@Sydney 2016 were watched by 4,700 at the House; 23,000 people at 280 Live viewing parties around Australia; and a further 78,000 watched the livestream online; making TEDxSydney one of the largest TEDx events around the world.

In the 2016/2017 season, TEDxSydney continues to evolve with the addition of a new series of intimate, evening events combining talks, films and music titled TEDxSydneySalon; and the ongoing publication of new ideas and films at TEDxSydney.com.
