Stacy’s Mom by The Acappelicans

TEDxYouth@Sydney 2013 · 17 November 2013

The Acappelicans perform the Fountains of Wayne classic: Stacy’s Mom. Founded in the historical year of 2012, the Acappelicans is a 10-strong, mixed a cappella group featuring arrangements by Chris Dendle. They dazzle audiences with a diverse repertoire of covers from various genres including pop and jazz, musical theatre and rock, and even some Disney. The group is composed of a ragtag bunch of a cappella enthusiasts and music nerds from various University of Sydney choirs and productions including the Science Revue and the Musical Theatre Ensemble. The Acappelicans have obliterated two consecutive seasons at the Sydney Fringe Festival, joined forces with the Usyd Jazzsoc big band (SOUL) and enlivened formal events with sparkling harmonies and catchy tunes. Their debut album will be released just in time for Christmas!
