Attendance Terms & Conditions

TEDxSydney 2017

• These Terms outline the terms and conditions upon which you may attend the 2017 TEDxSydney event (Event).
  1. Attendance at the Event
     1. In order to attend the Event, you must:
        1. be 18 years of age or older; or, for children 13+, be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old who has also registered to attend the event. [Please note content is considered appropriate for 15+];
        2. become a member of the TEDxSydney community and have a fully completed member profile; and
        3. have registered successfully and paid for your attendance in full.  
  2. Registration fees
     1. The current registration fees set out on our website are in Australian dollars and are GST inclusive.
  3. Transfers, cancellations and refunds
     1. If you have paid registration fees for the Event and decide not to attend, you may cancel your registration for a full refund (less $35 admin fee), provided the cancellation request is received in writing to us at audience@tedxsydney.com prior to 1 June 2017.
     2. Cancellations made after 1 June 2017 are non-refundable, due to catering and venue arrangements.
     3. Registrations for the Event may be transferred if:
        1. the proposed Transferee is also a member of the TEDxSydney community who meets the requirements in section 1.1, and
        2. the request for transfer is received in writing to us at audience@tedxsydney.com prior to 9 June 2017.
     4. Other than as set out above, we will only offer a refund to the extent required by law.
  4. Registration
     1. Your registration is for you only and we may ask for photo ID at the door.
     2. You must provide photo identification to obtain your entry badge on the day of the Event.
  5.  Release
     1. You consent to:
        1. us (or someone on our behalf) or our partners taking photographs, and making audio and video recordings of you at the Event (Recordings); and
        2. us sharing the Recordings to promote the Event in any manner we see fit.
     2. You understand and agree that we own all rights (including copyright and other intellectual property rights) to the Recordings.
     3. You understand that:
        1. we are under no obligation to use, or pay you for, our use of the Recordings; and
        2. you will have no right of approval, no claim for compensation, and no claim (including, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation or right of publicity), arising out of, directly or indirectly, from the use and publication of the Recordings.
