For more than ten years Jess has worked with a broad range of organisations to design, lead and implement change to make cities fair, healthy, resilient and liveable places.
She was elected to the City of Sydney Council in 2016 and served as the Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney 2017-18 and is the current Deputy Chair of the Environment Committee, sit on the Disability and Inclusion Panel, Cycling Committee, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee and South Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils.
She currently serves on the board of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and TEDxSydney – where for three years she curated the food program.
