Kirsty studied in Sydney and London and worked as a journalist at The Observer newspaper in London for several years before returning to Australia as an interviewer for The Australians at War Film Archive. She has worked in documentary and print for many years in Europe, the USA and Australia and continues to write freelance for The Guardian from time to time. Kirsty joined the TEDxSydney team in 2012.
