Sally Rugg is one of Australia’s leading digital campaigners. Currently, she is the Executive Director of Change.org where she works to empower ordinary Australians to win campaigns that matter to them. Previously, Sally was Campaign Director at GetUp where she lead their marriage equality campaign for five years, eventually to victory. Sally is deeply involved with LGBTIQ community activism and development.

In her spare time she volunteers with young people at LGBTIQ charity Twenty10 and supports grassroots activists with their campaigns.

In 2018, Sally was awarded Person of the Year awards from both FBi Radio and Pedestrian TV. Last year she was recognised by Amnesty International’s Top 15 Women Championing Human Rights and ranked #1 in the Most Powerful LGBTIQ Women list by Mamamia. In 2016 she won the Young Achiever accolade at the Honour Awards, and she is currently a nominee for Hero of the Year at the 2019 Australian LGBTI Awards. Sally has been profiled in Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Mamamia, and Elle Magazine.
