Stephen Feneley

This is Stephen’s 4th year working with TEDxSydney speakers.

For fear of revealing his age, he’s vague on how long he’s been working in media & communications.

Suffice to say, the year he started as a copyboy on Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, Malcolm Fraser was still in his first term as Prime Minister and Rod Stewart was still the template for men’s fashion and hair styling.

In the decades since, Stephen has worked across print, broadcasting and online as a news reporter, foreign correspondent, current-affairs producer, presenter & reporter on various ABC arts programs, as a newspaper & magazine columnist and as a very occasional & extremely casual filmmaker.

(He was the inaurgual winner of Tropfest in 1993 – his mates were the judges and the prize back then was a latte cup and one free coffee a day for three months.)

He now devotes most of his time to helping people tell their own stories through his coaching venture, Feneley + Co.
