TEDxSydney 2017 · 16 June 2017

Three Australians form a cover band of the Bee Gees and try their luck on the lucrative tribute band circuit in America.

Tony’s directing style of comedic realism and high concepts has seen him win a multitude of awards. He was the co-creator and director of the Wilfred series for SBS, now also a hit series in the US. He’s recently directed Bruce, a hilarious comedy series set in Australia’s first share house; a convict tent set in Sydney Cove in 1788. His first feature film was the highly acclaimed Rats & Cats, a quirky but realistic look into the lives of an unexpected group of Aussies passing time in the fictitious coastal town of Gladdington. Tony directed How to Talk Australians, a hilarious look inside an Indian call training centre. Rob and Tony wrote and produced the 8-part web series together. Rob won the Comedy Gold pitching competition at SPAA, and wrote and produced I Can’t Believe it’s Not Better for Foxtel’s Comedy Channel. His book Images You Should Not Masturbate to was published by Penguin, New York.
