In a world defined by constant technological evolution, the creative arts and production industry faced its share of challenges and opportunities in recent times, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst this transformative landscape, Innovative Production Services, a major partner of TEDxSydney for the last nine years, have embraced change and innovation, navigating the uncharted waters of hybrid events and creative broadcasting.
Before the pandemic, Innovative Production Services dominated the large-scale corporate AV space, operating as a full-service live events production house, providing end-to-end solutions. However, the industry’s dynamic nature and unpredictable limitations urged them to rethink their approach. The resource-heavy nature of their “one-stop-shop” model demanded continuous upgrades to outpace competitors.
With visionary foresight, Innovative side-stepped to focus on broadcast as their core expertise, committing fully to the world of hybrid events, live streaming and motion capture. As live events came to a halt in early 2020, the opportunity to venture into this world of broadcast emerged. Innovative seized this chance and have not looked back.
The creation of “The HUB” marked a turning point for Innovative. This highly successful hybrid event studio churned out top-quality motion shoots, live streams, and broadcast-related projects, validating and demonstrating their commitment to the creative broadcasting landscape.
Innovative’s evolution didn’t stop there. They reimagined their inventory to align with their broadcast vision, focusing on advanced control systems, state-of-the-art 4K cameras, and cutting-edge broadcast equipment. Notably, they became the first owners of the Panasonic AW-UE160 PTZ camera in Australia, breaking barriers and expanding PTZ performance to within studio camera capabilities.
As part of their commitment to high-level broadcast, Innovative have also built their dedicated hybrid broadcast truck—a marvel of versatility that goes beyond traditional broadcasting. It serves as a hybrid event control truck equally as well as a traditional broadcast truck, a testament to their readiness to embrace the ever-changing future of creative content delivery.
In today’s ever-evolving landscape, where change remains the only constant, Innovative Production Services has made significant strides, pushed boundaries, and is redefining possibilities. Their unwavering dedication to the world of broadcasting and hybrid events demonstrates a resilience that inspires businesses worldwide.
As a long-standing major partner of TEDxSydney, they’ve contributed to the platform’s success and help TEDxSydney to exemplify the power of ideas, innovation and collaboration. Their journey reminds us that adapting to the changing technological landscape isn’t merely about survival—it’s about seizing opportunities to leave a lasting impact on the world.
