Talking TED Books

TED Talks are recognised not only for their ability to deliver innovative and thought-provoking ideas, but also for delivering them in a concise and engaging way. This kind of combination inspired the development of TED Books; short nonfiction books that are long enough to fully explore a powerful idea yet designed to be read in a single sitting.

In 2014 Simon &Schuster and TED Talks announced a co-publishing venture that resulted in a series of books on a wide range of subjects.

“TED has mastered the art of launching intelligent conversations about important ideas, and these books will provide TED speakers past and future with the opportunity to go beyond their talks and take readers deeper into their work,” said Jonathan Karp, President and Publisher of the Simon & Schuster Publishing Group.

TED Books launched its first title: The Terrorist’s Son on 11 September, 2014 and followed it with five other titles: The Art of Stillness, The Mathematics of Love, Future of Architecture in 100 Buildings, Follow Your Gut and about to be released Beyond Measure.

With many more titles coming from some of the best thinkers of our time, these small, beautifully- designed books are perfect for those who are intrigued by the workings of the world and who want to be inspired about the future.
