TEDxSydney 2023: Film Program Now Open

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR
2023 FILM PROGRAM

Invitation for Filmmakers and Creatives.

TEDxSydney is looking for proposals for (very) short films, to be produced for TEDxSydney and screened at our flagship event on Friday 1 September 2023.

TEDxSydney is the leading platform for Australian Ideas Worth Spreading. We offer the ideal forum to screen your film to a large and very appreciative audience.

THE BRIEF: Filmmakers are invited to interpret the theme “TIPPING POINT” as loosely or as closely as they like.

The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behaviour crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire.

And how can we reimagine our cities, evolve how we work, do politics, protect our health, and re-construct our economic systems to be fit for the purpose of a new era?

THE RULES: There are almost no rules, except films must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes duration

We are looking for films from existing filmmakers that offer unique and interesting perspectives by way of the form they take, subject they tackle or concept they explore.

Films that are designed to fit this micro-sized format, rather than being squeezed into it. Think BIG and keep it short.

Documentary, experimental, animation, comedy, drama and any other ideas you might have – this is a wonderful forum to share your film in front of a dedicated TEDxSydney online audience and a live audience of up to 3,000 people in the room.
