A letter from our Executive & Creative Director
Dear TEDxSydney Community,
I am very happy to be joining you as Executive & Creative Director of TEDxSydney 2025.
I have been fortunate to work in leadership and program curation with some incredible organisations, including Small Giants Academy and The School of Life, and I’m thrilled to contribute to the evolution of TEDxSydney.
The team and I will lead TEDxSydney this year as it embarks on a new chapter elevating ideas responding to our systemic challenges, and navigating together the complexity of this moment.
I am humbled to be taking on this role at such a significant time. The joy of TED and TEDx is for us to come together, to discover and share ideas that spark connection, deepen understanding, and drive meaningful awareness to inform the way we live and learn.
Australia is uniquely placed to offer ideas to the world stage and it’s an honour to be able to welcome our country’s pioneering thinkers and emerging leaders to do so, while gathering this remarkable TEDxSydney community to bear witness.
We’re going to experiment, we’re going to push the impact of this platform and we’re going to support each other in sensemaking this moment in time, bringing joy and connection along the way.
TEDxSydney’s flagship event will return on Friday 9th May at City Recital Hall. The theme is Three Horizons. You can find tickets here.
Three Horizons gives us a simple but powerful framework to orient ideas in relationship with each other and navigate the complexity of the challenges we face.
These are not ideas for the sake of ideas. These are ideas to meet the moment.
This year’s flagship brings together an incredible lineup of speakers. They’re not stuck in binary arguments or single-point solutions. They offer ideas which can meaningfully take us forward in our collective imagination: toward a shared future for life on this pale blue dot long after we’re gone.
We look forward to welcoming you.
