Taronga’s Marine Mammal Division is made up of passionate and talented Keepers with a very unique skillset from husbandry and training to stage and presentation skills. Back in 2006 they created a ‘wave of change’ at Taronga around the issue of sustainable seafood using their Seal Show and seal encounters as a platform to inspire and educate. Working with other teams and external partners this has evolved to a Taronga Community Conservation Campaign ‘Fish for Good’ and an award winning seal presentation with a strong call to action for consumers to purchase sustainable seafood carrying the MSC eco-label. Taronga’s Seals for the Wild Show has encouraged over 10 million guests to `Choose MSC’ since its inception
