Shilpa Mohan is an award-winning interior designer and avid advocate for design education and industry standards. She is currently the Senior Interior Designer at Sydney and Byron Bay based design studio, SJS Interior Design. Shilpa has been a judge for the Australian Construction Awards, a writer for various design publications and national websites such as INDESIGNLIVE, Australian Financial Review, Home Beautiful, Domain etc. and a speaker at industry events. She combines her educational background in science and design to understand the implications of materials used inside buildings on the health and wellbeing of her clients and their impact on the environment. She truly believes interior design is a key aspect of our built environment that is being overlooked in our efforts to go green.
