Described as “”the impossible love child of Elvis, Roy Orbison and Townes Van Zandt””, Williams voice soars to every corner, as he sung songs steeped in New Zealand history and life growing up in the port town of Lyttleton, just out of Christchurch. About Marlon Marlon Williams is a 2-time New Zealand music award winning singer/songwriter Rhythms Magazine have called the “”Artist To Watch”” in Australia for 2014. Having already released records with The Unfaithful Ways and as half of an acclaimed duo with Delaney Davidson, Williams has gone solo over the past 12 months, relocating from New Zealand to Melbourne, and making a big name for himself as the new golden child of alt-country. He will feature on Rockwiz on SBS in May, support First Aid Kit in July, headline a 30-date tour in July/August, play numerous major festivals around Australia and then release his debut album with much anticipation in October.
